Most people with hypo or underactive thyroid, an epidemic in the United States, are actually victims of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, an autoimmune attack on the thyroid gland.

Symptoms of hypo or low thyroid function include:

Fatigue

Weight gain

Cold intolerance

Hair loss

Anxiety, depression

Other thyroid conditions can be present like Graves’ Disease, which is an overactive thyroid. Symptoms of hyper or overactive thyroid function, which can also be an autoimmune attack on the thyroid, include:

Anxiety, depression

Rapid heartbeat, pulse

Weight loss

Insomnia

Muscle tremors

A great resource is Dr. Izabella Wentz, the Thyroid Pharmacist. After her bout with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, she dedicated her life to helping others understand what is going on with their thyroid and how to get a better picture of thyroid health by re-examining lab test results. She also addresses the root causes that lead to the condition in the first place.

Good to read:
Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, Root Cause by Dr. Wentz
Hashimoto’s Protocol by Dr. Wentz

Check out her YouTube videos, website and Facebook posts under Thyroid Pharmacist.

Three Cheers for: Tweak’d by Nature

It was a labor of love that caused Denis Simioni, the “Indiana Jones of the Beauty Care Industry,”to formulate his restore line of hair care products made with Dhatelo Seed Oil from Nepal.

His mother was diagnosed, for the second time at age 77, with cancer. She knew too well the damage her hair would undergo as a result of the chemotherapy treatments, and she asked Denis to formulate something for her.

Denis not only formulated something for her hair but for her skin as well.
