The Value of Grapefruit Seed Extract, Teri Kelley, ND, NHC2-oz-mold-control[1]

People who enjoy eating grapefruit often find the seeds to be a nuisance, but when they find out the benefits of the seeds, they may begin to value them! There’s just one problem: the seeds are very bitter and also contain toxins that are shown to be unsafe to humans and animals. Fortunately, grapefruit seed extract (GSE) can be found on health food store shelves. The flavor is still somewhat bitter but more manageable when the extract is added to a flavored beverage like juice. The bitter taste, though, shows it contains powerful properties.

Why should we consider adding GSE to our daily regimen? For one GSE benefits our immune system by fighting off bacteria, fungal (yeast) overgrowth, parasites, and viruses. In fact, GSE is a considered method of food preservation as it fights off harmful microbes.

GSE is welcome news for people struggling with Type II diabetes as it helps to lower blood sugar levels. GSE helps lower LDL (think lousy) cholesterol levels and increase HDL (think healthy) cholesterol levels. GSE also helps lower chances of atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries).

GSE is also an alkalizing substance. Many disease states, like cancer, are found thriving in an acid condition in the body.

GSE, in a diluted form, can also aid:

  • Acne
  • Earaches
  • Psoriasis
  • Sinusitis
  • Wounds

Some people will be sensitive to GSE like those who already have a problem with citrus or take certain prescription medications like statins, calcium channel blockers, immunosuppressants and benzodiazepines. So, if you are on any prescribed medication, check with your doctor or pharmacist before consuming grapefruit seed extract.

SPIRITUAL WELLNESS: Hear, Believe, and Receive God’s One Way to Heaven

HEAR!

Faith is just believing God’s word is true.  God wants you to HEAR his word.

“…faith cometh by HEARING and HEARING by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

BELIEVE!

BELIEVE God made the ONE WAY for you to go to heaven.

Jesus, who is God the Son, died on the cross, was buried, and rose again for you so that you won’t be forever in hell when you die.

“…Christ died for our sins…he was buried…he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”               I Corinthians 15:3&4

RECEIVE!

You need to RECEIVE Jesus as your Savior from sin.

“But as many as RECEIVED him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God…” John 1:12

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 6:23

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10

You can be forgiven for your sins.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

Will you RECEIVE him?

You can tell him:  God, I am sorry for my sins.  I believe Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for me.  I believe He was buried and rose again.  Save me, I ask this in Jesus’ name, amen.
